Service, process & costs 6

How much does balcony floor installation cost?

The cost depends on the balcony area, chosen panel pattern and balcony shape. You receive an exact quote by email the same day after a free measurement — you can also use our quick quote calculator. We do not add any mark-up to the panel price — you buy them at the same price as if you ordered them directly from the manufacturer. You only pay for the service. More on costs in the article how much does balcony flooring cost.

How long does the whole process take from measurement to finished floor?

Typically 5-10 working days. After the measurement and deposit, we order the panels in your chosen pattern and prepare them on the CNC machine. You pick the installation date yourself in our online calendar — access opens as soon as the deposit is paid. Full breakdown in the article installation step by step.

How long does the on-site installation itself take?

For a typical 3-5 m² balcony — under an hour. All panels and joists arrive pre-cut on our CNC machine in the workshop, so there is no dust or offcuts on site — we hand the balcony back ready to use, no cleanup needed. A larger 15-25 m² terrace takes a few hours. Details in installation step by step.

Do you add a mark-up to the panels?

No. You buy the panels at the same price as if you ordered them yourself directly from the manufacturer. We earn only on the service (measurement, design, CNC processing, installation) — never on materials. The full breakdown of materials vs. labour is shown in the quote. More in the article how much does balcony flooring cost.

Which cities do you cover?

We currently operate in Kraków and the surrounding area — including Wieliczka, Skawina, Niepołomice and Myślenice. We are steadily expanding our reach — if you are from another city, get in touch and we will be happy to discuss options.

What is the minimum balcony size?

We work on balconies from 2 m² and up. Small balconies get the same care as large terraces — every panel is cut on a CNC machine to 1 mm accuracy and the layout is planned in computer simulation before any cutting. On a small balcony, precision matters even more than on a large area. More in the article flooring for a small balcony.

Measurement & preparation 4

What does the measurement look like?

The measurement is free and takes just a few minutes. Our specialist scans the balcony with a LiDAR scanner to 1 mm accuracy, then you configure the floor together in our app — choosing the panel pattern and layout. You receive the quote with a contract by email the same day. The full process is described in installation step by step.

Do I need to prepare the balcony before installation?

Just clear the balcony of furniture and pots. The surface does not need to be perfectly level — our system compensates for minor unevenness. No screed or preparatory work required. If the balcony has damaged waterproofing or visible slab cracks, we flag it before the installation begins. More in the article installation step by step.

What if my waterproofing is damaged?

During the free measurement we assess the substrate and the waterproofing condition. If we see a problem, we tell you about it before installation begins. Waterproofing repair typically costs 80-150 PLN/m² and 1-2 days of work. Our joist system requires no drilling into the slab, so after the repair we do not damage the fresh layer. More in balcony waterproofing under composite decking.

Can I reschedule the measurement or installation?

Yes. After booking a visit you receive an email with links to reschedule or cancel. Rescheduling is free and you can do it yourself online — no need to contact the office.

Installation & conditions 5

Do you install in winter?

Yes, but only on enclosed balconies (with windows or a sealed enclosure) and covered terraces — where the work area is sheltered from frost and wind. We do not carry out winter installation on open balconies. For an open balcony the best time is spring, summer and early autumn. The benefit of the winter season for enclosed spaces — shorter waiting times. More in balcony flooring in winter.

What balconies and terraces do you handle?

We install on rectangular and L-shaped balconies and on paved terraces (rooftop decks and concrete slabs) — regardless of dimensions (from 2 m² and up). Every balcony is measured with a LiDAR scanner and the panels are cut with computer-precision CNC. We do not handle ground-level terraces requiring a built-up substructure. More on unusual shapes in the article L-shaped balcony.

Do you have to drill into the balcony slab?

No. We use a non-invasive system — joists are placed on a special anti-slip tape directly on the balcony surface. No anchors, no screws, no holes. This way we keep 100% of the existing waterproofing intact, and if needed (e.g. renovation) the floor can be removed without a trace. More in drill-free balcony flooring.

Do I need permission from the building manager / housing association?

Not required. Since we do not drill into the slab and do not interfere with the balcony structure or any shared building elements, there is no basis for requiring a permit. This is a major advantage over ceramic tiles, which require gluing, screed and often the manager's approval. More in apartment balcony flooring guide.

Will there be dust and noise during installation?

No. All panels and joists arrive pre-cut on our CNC machine in the workshop, so no dust or offcuts are produced on site. We do not chisel, pour or drill. After about an hour of installation on a 3-5 m² balcony, we hand back the floor ready to use, with no cleanup needed. More in balcony renovation step by step.

Product & material 5

What are the panels made of?

The panels are made from wood-plastic composite (WPC) — a blend of wood fibres (60%+) and polymer with a UV stabiliser package. They combine the natural look of wood with resistance to moisture, frost, sun and fungi. No painting, oiling or impregnating required. See available floor patterns.

What patterns and colours are available?

We have a wide range of patterns — from light oaks (visually enlarging the space, less heat-prone) to dark exotics (luxurious and elegant). The full catalogue with previews is in the floor patterns section. How to pick the right colour is covered in the article what colour boards for a balcony.

What lengths are the panels available in?

Raw stock comes in lengths from 240 to 400 cm. Our simulator picks the optimal length automatically to minimise waste and cost — on small balconies a shorter panel often produces less offcut, while on larger ones a longer panel reduces the number of joints. More in composite panels for a balcony.

Exotic wood or composite — which is better?

Composite wins on running costs and durability — no oiling needed (wood: 1-2 times a year), it does not crack from frost or grey out from UV. Exotic hardwood has a beautiful natural texture but requires annual maintenance and loses its look more quickly. Over 10 years, composite is several times cheaper to maintain. Full comparison in the article composite board vs exotic wood.

How much does the whole system weigh? Will the balcony hold?

The whole system (joists + panels + clips) weighs 12-18 kg/m² — far less than ceramic tiles with adhesive (30-50 kg/m²). A typical Polish balcony slab is designed for 200-300 kg/m² (per PN-EN 1991-1-1), so you only use 4-9% of the allowable load. Full calculations in apartment balcony flooring guide.

Durability & warranty 4

Will the panels fade over time?

In the first 8-12 weeks the pigment stabilises under UV exposure — the colour may shift slightly (lighten or darken, depending on the shade). After this settling period the colour stays stable for years. This is not fading — it is a one-off natural calibration. Cheap panels without UV stabilisers do fade; we use panels with a full UV package. More in the article WPC composite decking reviews.

Will the panels survive a Polish winter (frost, salt, snow)?

Yes. WPC panels have water absorption below 1%, so there is no water inside that could freeze and crack the structure. They withstand multiple freeze-thaw cycles in the −30°C to +60°C range. Road salt does not harm the material (it just leaves a white residue that washes off easily). No need to winterise the floor. More in balcony flooring in winter.

How many years will composite flooring last?

Premium European-quality WPC panels (like ours) last 20-25 years with no maintenance. Cheap Chinese imports (40-50% wood, no UV stabilisers) last 3-7 years — and that is what most negative online reviews are about. Real user experiences after 5-10 years are gathered in the article WPC composite decking reviews.

What warranty do you offer on materials and service?

We provide a 2-year warranty on the installation service — covering workmanship, structural integrity and component fit. The composite panels additionally carry the manufacturer's warranty (typically 10-15 years on structure and colour). Warranty details are in the contract you receive with the quote.

Maintenance 2

How do I maintain the composite floor?

Panels require virtually no maintenance. Just wash with water and a mild detergent every few weeks or use a pressure washer (up to 100 bar). No oiling, varnishing or impregnating. Twice a year — in spring and autumn — it is worth cleaning the gaps between boards. Full guide in care and cleaning of composite boards.

What about snow, salt and ice in winter?

You can leave the snow on — the panels can handle the weight. If you want to clear it, use a plastic shovel (not metal, to avoid scratching). Ice is best melted with warm (not boiling) water. Road salt is safe for the material — it just leaves a white residue that washes off after winter. Details in care and cleaning of composite boards.
